Drew McIntyre, the rival of WWE Superstar CM Punk, shared his thoughts on Punk’s segment with NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez. As WWE NXT prepares for its debut on The CW on October 1, CM Punk will appear in Chicago for the premiere episode.

The excitement didn't stop at this week's edition of WWE SmackDown from the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, CA once the show went off the air.

Following Tuesday's episode, "NXT" commentator Booker T revealed on his "Hall of Fame" podcast that he had a spirited conversation with Punk backstage, and squashed any rumors about them having prior animosity towards each other.

CM Punk sent a heated message to Drew McIntyre on WWE RAW. Drew McIntyre previously took CM Punk out with a vicious attack on the September 2 episode of WWE RAW. The following week, Adam Pearce announced that McIntyre would face Punk in a Hell in a Cell Match at WWE Bad Blood.

CM Punk comes to WWE NXT. Punk appeared on the September 17th episode of NXT to make a big announcement, but before he could, he was interrupted by Roxanne Perez. Perez said that she was always a bigger fan of Punk's wife AJ Lee, and that she realized she should have been a Drew McIntyre fan.

Tuesday night’s WWE NXT episode, featuring an appearance by CM Punk, averaged 677,000 viewers on USA Network. That’s up 7.8 percent from last week and is the best audience total for the show since June 18.
