In Week 4 of the college football season, the matchups provided the first big glimpse of the premier teams in their new conferences. The USC Trojans began Big Ten play on the road against the Michigan Wolverines while the Oklahoma Sooners began their inaugural season in the SEC with a visit from the Tennessee Volunteers.

The Bulldogs and Crimson Tide played in two CFP championship games in the four-team era, so no matter what happens at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday, those teams will remain in the playoff picture. It is the other playoff questions about the SEC that will pop up – and some of those come with a hint of "SEC bias."
