A late Thanksgiving means a shorter holiday season in 2024, and UPS says it wants to get ahead of the rush by hiring 125,000 temporary workers nationwide.

UPS is looking to hire more than 3,000 workers who may be looking to earn some extra cash during the holiday season. UPS says they’re preparing for the holidays and offering “industry leading wages with flexible shift options” in the Harrisburg area.

UPS announced it will recruit over 2,500 full-and part-time seasonal employees in Minneapolis this year as it prepares for a "shorter" holiday season. According to a release from the shipping company, this hiring is part of its effort to hire 125,000 seasonal employees nationwide.

Macy's said on Thursday it will hire more than 31,500 full and part-time employees for the upcoming holiday season - fewer than last year - as the U.S. department store gears up for a busy shopping period.
