Spectal Island was a major disappointment. The swim area was tiny and seemed dirty. The bathrooms in the visitor center were beyond gross. There is no shade at all and it makes the trails miserable o… Full review by 746carar

Did not know about this until exploring Boston. It was a wonderful experience. Did a ranger guided hike filled with many interesting facts. The ferry there was enjoyable. Full review by Brenda M

There are a couple of ways. 1. Boston Harbor Ferry $17 RT Tickets are available for purchase online or at the kiosk by the dock. The dock is near the aquarium, next to the Marriott Longwharf hotel. The ferry ride is a lovely 20 min ride 2. Take your own boat or kayak. Moorings are available, first come first served. I think the docking for private boats is under construction.
