We had no idea all 3 major immigrant trails passed by Fort Kearney. The history here is amazing and is told very well in museum exhibits, the reconstructed blacksmith shop, stockade, and powder maga… Full review by MNDoodles

The visitor center, which has a lot of artifacts, etc. is only open 9-5, even in the summer because of budget restrictions. However the grounds are open 24/7 as far as being able …

The visitor center, which has a lot of artifacts, etc. is only open 9-5, even in the summer because of budget restrictions. However the grounds are open 24/7 as far as being able to walk around the fort. During certain holidays they do have the re-enactments, camps, and cannon firings at designated times. Pretty cool as they explain things on how it used to be.

I believe the hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. You probably will spend two hours or less there.
